Pregame

A few pregame notes:

1) Oklahoma's Erik Swenson and Adrian Ealy were both warming up as if they planned to play. Both took reps with the first-team offense. Both were considered "highly questionable" coming into the game. Expect Texas to test both guys' mobility and health early and often if they do indeed play.

2) There was a pregame altercation between the teams at the 50 yard line. A flag was thrown. It was hard to make out exactly what was going on, but it sounded like a penalty will be enforced once the game gets going.

3) Texas' Collin Johnson was warming up and practicing with the first team. This doesn't really come as a surprise since Tom Herman said as much on Thursday, but still encouraging news on the injury front for the Longhorns.

1st Quarter 15:00

No penalty on the kickoff. Still not sure what was going on with the pregame flag.

Oklahoma has marched down to the Texas one-yard line, but now faces a fourth down and goal. We have a timeout for an injured player.

B.J. Foster was shaken up on the play. He's walking over the sideline on his own power though.

Jalen Hurts hits CeeDee Lamb on a rollout pass for an Oklahoma touchdown.

9:54 First Quarter Oklahoma 7, Texas 0

Texas runs two screen plays, then Sam Ehlinger is sacked by Neville Gallimore. Three and out.

Texas was light in the box on the first drive, almost daring Oklahoma to run. It will be interesting to see if they change that up on the second drive.

Jalen Hurts runs all the way down to the Texas 15, but appears to have fumbled. The play is under review.

Fumble. Texas' ball on its own 12-yard line. Huge, huge break for the Longhorns. Interesting to see how the play calling changes on the second drive.

Ehlinger starting to settle in. Two passes for two first downs on this second drive.

Another long pass has Texas in OU territory for the first time today.

Ehlinger sacked on third down. Texas will bring on the punter for the second time today.

A perfect punt from Ryan Bujcevski. That ball had died at the one-yard line before rolling back to the five. Might have left a divot on the field it had so much backspin.

Sooners pinned deep on the Texas side of the field, but get out of the shadow of their own goalpost with a long Kennedy Brooks run.

End of first quarter

I can't tell you 100 percent accurately, but there have to be a lot of season-lows for Texas in that first quarter offensively.

Side note: BJ Foster is back in the game at safety.

Texas comes away with a huge interception in the end zone to deny Oklahoma points again. The Longhorns have forced two red-zone turnovers.

Texas is forced to punt again. Red zone defense is really keeping the Longhorns in this game right now.

Texas finally gets to Hurts on a third and long to force a bad pass. A shanked Oklahoma punt will set Texas up with great field position.

The Oklahoma defense forces another Texas punt. A sack and an intentional grounding penalty on Ehlinger on his two pass attempts.

If Texas gets into the locker room down by anything less than 10 points after this first half, they should feel ecstatic.

Oklahoma marches down the field again, but Texas gets another big stop to force a field goal.

1:49 Second Quarter: Oklahoma 10, Texas 0

Four trips to the red zone for Oklahoma, just 10 points.

Texas drives down and puts three points on the board. Longhorn fans will never be happy trailing, but being down only seven in this game after that first half is about as good as you can expect.

Halftime: Oklahoma 10, Texas 3

15:00 Third Quarter Oklahoma 10, Texas 3

Oklahoma swarms the Texas kickoff return and the Longhorns will start back up on their own 14.

Ehlinger scrambles for a first down and gets Texas some running room.

Another Texas punt after a third-down Oklahoma sack.

Jeffery McCullough leaves the game with help to the locker room. Not going to speculate on what might be wrong, but he's in the back now.

Texas defense with a big answer to force an Oklahoma three and out. That's huge.

Roschon Johnson breaks off a 57-yard run right up the middle, then caps it off with a 5-yarder. Texas is an extra point from being tied after being dominated for nearly the whole game.

8:48 Third Quarter Texas 10, Oklahoma 10

Malcolm Roach called for targeting and ejected. That's a huge loss at this point for Texas.

A trick play from Lincoln Riley. Flea flicker back to Hurts who throws to CeeDee Lamb. Lamb jukes three Texas defenders and scores.

7:45 Third Quarter Oklahoma 17, Texas 10

Texas defense holds strong again in its own end zone to force another OU field goa, but the Sooners are back up by 10.

4:44 Third Quarter Oklahoma 20, Texas 10

This feels like a really important drive for Texas.

Ehlinger sacked for a loss of five. He's been sacked six times today.

That's another three and out for the Longhorns. A ton of pressure on Texas' defense here with 2:59 to go in the third.

Anthony Cook took a knee to the helmet on that last play. I would imagine we'll see Kobe Boyce come in for him.

Texas defense comes up with a huge huge fourth down stop. They've been behind in the field position battle all day, but have a chance to start at their own 40.

Another big run from Roschon Johnson. He's been the best player on this offense by far.

Now Texas is going to Collin Johnson. A catch for a first down and a pass interference call has the Longhorns down to the 11 yard line.
