That long touchdown pass showed that this West Virginia team has certainly grown during the bye week. Just like Todd Orlando expected.

Texas will have to settle in.

West Virginia 7, Texas 0

Longhorns look rattled here early on on offense. West Virginia ha clearly come out with more energy early on.

Whew.. That throw had some zip on it. Ehlinger comes up with a big chunk play in the passing game to help settle some nerves.

West Virginia showing a pulse in the secondary.

The West Virginia defensive line playing with some juice early on as well.

Extremely, extremely rare miss from Cameron Dicker.

Huge, huge interception from Ayodele Adeoye. The Texas defense hands the ball right back to the offense.

Ehlinger with a jump ball to Malcolm Epps. Just like that the game is tied.

Texas 7, West Virginia 7

When was the last time you saw a kicker get called for targeting?

B.J. Foster, just back from an injury, looks to be shaken up after that hit.

The good news for Texas is Estell looked solid last year in relief duty.

The Longhorns will have to go the long way if they want to take the lead. Great punt by West Virginia.

Gutsy throw from Ehlinger. Stood strong in the pocket in his own end zone against a pretty decent West Virginia pass rush.

Definitely an incomplete pass. Still a huge hit from West Virginia to force a third and long.

Roschon Johnson has had some big carries already this year against teams like LSU, but he looks a little rattled right now knowing he's got to be the guy. They need to get him involved with a couple of early-down runs and let him settle in.

Good stop for the Texas defense. If you are a Longhorn fan you have to feel pretty decent about being tied 7-7 with 50 seconds to go in the first quarter with all the things that have gone wrong so far.

Another solid cover job by the West Virginia defense to get off the field. These Mountaineer corners are better than I expected watching film.

West Virginia drives right down the field and scores on an Austin Kendall QB keeper. I know I said it before, but this West Virginia team looks completely different than the one we saw on film in the week leading up to this game. Neil Brown took full advantage of his bye week.

West Virginia 14, Texas 7

I hope Texas fans don't take third-down conversions like that for granted. Ehlinger is playing at a different level right now.

John Burt just caught his first touchdown pass since 2017. The speedster made that one look easy.

Texas 14, West Virginia 14

I think the home team should be penalized 15 yards every time Old Town Road comes on the PA.

Roschon Johnson running with a purpose now. He's clearly getting some confidence and rhythm.

Impressive response from Ehlinger and company to take the lead. They are clicking on offense right before halftime.

Texas 21, West Virginia 14

West Virginia misses a field goal to end the first half. You have to think there will be some adjustments for the Longhorns during the break on both sides of the ball. Once again, you have to feel really good as a Longhorn fan to be up by seven on the road after a sub-par first half for most of the team (outside of Sam Ehlinger).

Second half

West Virginia comes up with a huge sack to end Texas' first drive. Ingram is back, you have to think he'll be a big part of the offensive picture in the second half. The run game travels.

D'Shawn Jamison just came up with a huge play. Texas has been looking for its young corners to step up and build some momentum. Jamison seized the moment on that one.

Couldn't be more complimentary of the West Virginia defense. They are swarming to the ball and making life difficult for Ehlinger. It's the toughest challenge Texas has seen on that side of the ball so far this year.

Keith Washington picks off a Texas pass. That was an extremely rare bad decision from Sam Ehlinger.

Jamison came up with a nice play on third down to force a field goal. Texas may have found itself a starting quarterback.

Texas 21, West Virginia 17

B.J. Foster shows Texas fans what they have been missing with him being out. That's the fourth interception for the Texas defense today.

Devin Duvernay with one of the best runs we've seen from any Texas runner today to score and make it 28-17.

Texas 28, West Virginia 17

Jamison made a great play on that pass, but it was also an extremely poor decision from Kendall. He was baited all the way.

Sam Cosmi scores on a trick play throwback screen. You have to wonder how long that play has been in the book. The big guy is jacked up.
