While the Browns and Ravens are fierce rivals on the field, there is still plenty of love to go around between former Texas teammates Malik Jefferson and DeShon Elliot.

Shortly after the Browns took down the Ravens 40-24 to take a share of the AFC North division lead Elliot and Jefferson gathered on the field to exchange autographed jerseys.

Exchanging jerseys as a sign of respect has become an NFL tradition as of late, particularly between former collegiate teammates.

Elliot finished his Texas career with 84 total tackles, nine interceptions, 13 passes defended and three fumble recoveries. He also scored a pair of defensive touchdowns. He was a Unanimous All American and First Team All-Big 12 selection in 2017.

He was drafted by the Ravens in the sixth round in 2018.

Jefferson had 160 tackles, 26 for loss, 13 sacks, five passes defended and one fumble recovery during a three-year career on the Forty Acres. He was the Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of the Year and a second-team All American in 2017, the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2015 and a former USA Today High School All American.

He was drafted by the Bengals in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, but cut on Aug. 31 before being claimed by the Browns the next day.

These two will play at least one more time this year - a Dec. 22 meeting in Cleveland. Perhaps the two former teammates can exchange presents during the festive holiday season.
