It was a nice 4-2 bounce-back week just in time to throw hearts and souls back at this week's list of interesting choices. Tony Barnhart is proving why he is known as Mr. College Football as his 5-1 week shot him into the solo TEAM TMG lead with a record of 35-24-1. Herb Gould is holding steady at 32-25-3 while the "Three Other Amigos" continue to claw and fight their way back to the top. Locksmith is all-square at 29-29-2, which seems hard to do, while Rankman & Son are 28-30-2 with plenty of season left. Jersey Guy brings up the rear at 26-34 and is in serious jeopardy of getting relegated to a lower Pick Em division. Overall TMG stands at 150-142-8.

Father Knows Bets

USC (+1.5) at ARIZONA STATE

Father says no way it happens like this. No way. It’s just too creepy. In 2013, at ASU, after a 62-41 loss, the Trojan plane returned home to LAX and coach Lane Kiffin was fired on the tarmac. Tell me that couldn’t happen again. Tell me.

The Pick: USC

Washington State (-7.5) at CALIFORNIA

Here’s the deal: Cal used to be 4-0 but now it’s 4-4 with an exhausted defense with an offense held together by medical tape. Wazzu’s offense scored 63 points against UCLA…and lost.

The Pick: Washington State

San Jose State at HAWAII (77)

It is against every fiber of Father’s body to take the “under” in any game played on the islands but thought this would be a good week to shake things up and root for a punting contest.

The Pick: Under

Son’s Picks

Kansas State at TEXAS (56.5)

Son will provide in-stadium updates from Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium as he roots on Bevo and Co. so long as the other team scores enough to reach 57 total points.

The Pick: Over

Florida State (+2.5) at BOSTON COLLEGE

Son focuses here on battle between team that just fired its coach versus coach trying get bowl eligible and keep his job. Son pulled trigger on pick knowing BC lost at home to Kansas.

The Pick: Boston College

Baylor (-2.5) at TEXAS CHRISTIAN

Son expects a low-scoring game decided on a Baylor field goal that clanks off the left upright over the crossbar for win that keeps the Bears unimpressive but also undefeated.

The Pick: Baylor
