Former UCLA All-American Linebacker Set For Workout with NFC Team
Your UCLA Bruins have produced great talent this past decade, and former linebacker Anthony Barr is no exception.
Barr was a standout at UCLA as he was named a consensus All-American his senior year and has paved a strong career in the NFL.
The four-time Pro Bowler has been a part of two teams, the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys; now the free agent linebacker is trying to find himself a new home, which could be with NFC South squad New Orleans Saints.
According to UCLA insider Gavin Carlson, Barr is set to work out with them today.
The 31-year-old Los Angeles native spent most of his career with the Vikings from 2014-2021 and was then signed by the Cowboys as a depth piece to the linebacker core. He played in 14 games but started in 10; after suffering a hamstring injury later in the season, he missed a handful of games, and the Cowboys let him walk.
He's been searching for a new team for a while now, and hopefully, the Saints will give him a shot. In his career, he has 553 tackles, 18.5 sacks, 41 tackles for loss, and 48 QB hits.
He's panned out a promising career for himself; hopefully, he can prove himself once again in 2023.
