USC football: Trojans announce dates for spring practice, spring game

The spring game will be played on Saturday, April 15th

It's been a day and one month since USC's frustrating 46-45 Cotton Bowl defeat to Tulane.

And now it's time to turn the page.

USC General Manager and Senior Associate Athletic Director for Football, Dave Emerick, tweeted out the Trojans spring practice schedule on Friday. Practices will begin on March 4th and the Trojans Spring Game will take place on April 15th.

Here's the complete schedule for USC's spring practices:

3 SPRING PRACTICE STORYLINES TO WATCH

1. Who will emerge from USC's group of interior defensive linemen?

Tyrone Taleni is USC's top returning interior defensive lineman, but the Trojans could use an upgrade alongside him. Arizona transfer Kyon Barrs will likely earn a starting spot with a strong spring practice. De'jon Benton, Earl Barquet Jr., Stanley Ta'ufo'ou and Jamar Sekona will also compete for playing time.

2. Will Oklahoma State linebacker transfer Mason Cobb be as advertised?

All indications are that Cobb will slot in as a starter despite Eric Gentry and Shane Lee, last year's two starting 'backers, coming back. Will Cobb be the upgrade the USC coaching staff is hoping for? We'll get an early look this spring.

3. Can Domani Jackson separate from the pack?

After an injury riddled freshman season that saw Jackson play in only five games, can the former 5-star recruit lock down a starting cornerback role? He'll have to have a big spring.
