USC football: 5-star quarterback discusses interest in Trojans

Julian Lewis is arguably the top high school quarterback prospect in the country

There's a reason USC and Lincoln Riley are pursuing 2026 Carrolton (Ga.) quarterback Julian Lewis so aggressively.

Earlier this year, ESPN ranked the top overall high school football recruits made up of the 2024, 2025 and 2026 classes and Lewis was named the No. 1 prospect.

He's the real deal.

On Saturday, Lewis spoke with 247Sports.com's Greg Biggins about his interest in USC.

“I had a real good visit to USC and there’s a lot to like about the school," he said. "You have that Cali lifestyle and it’s really nice out there. Coach Riley is obviously a great offensive mind and does a great job developing quarterbacks. I love the scenery and overall vibe there and I’m definitely giving them a look.”

Lewis has received a scholarship offer from just about every national power and he's hoping to commit after his upcoming sophomore season, per Biggins.

"I still have a lot of schools on my list but I’m pretty confident Alabama, Texas, USC and Georgia will be on there when I do eventually cut things down," he said.

In his first year of high school, Lewis led Carrolton (Ga.) to the 7A state championship game in Georgia. He threw for 4,118 yards and 48 touchdowns in 15 games.
