Quarterbacks are dropping like flies these days for the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Mo Hasan took over the starting job against Missouri and led the Commodores to part of the upset win over the Tigers before suffereing a severe concussion on a hit that lead to a player ejection. He has been sidelined ever since, missing Saturday's game aganst South Carolina following a bye week.

As of Monday, he is still in protocal and at best, questionable for this Saturday's visit to The Swamp to take on Florida.

Former starter Riley Neal, who was replaced by Hasan retunred to finish up against the Tigers and then lead the Commodores to a touchdown on their fist drive of the game Saturday against the Gamecocks. He left with an undisclosed injury and did not retunr to the game, which Vanderbilt ultimately lost 24-7.

Now with two quarterbacks in concussion protocal, that leave the Commodores with Deuce Wallace, who finished the game last week, but was totally ineffective as the Commodores offense did next to nothing after their opening drive score.

The Florida Gators defense is better than either of those from Missouri or South Carolina and the Commodores might be left with Wallace as their only option.

Fourth string quarterback Allan Walters has not seen the field this season, and there are rumors that he too might be unavailable this week for undisclosed reasons.

So in Deuce the Commodores must trust, unless Hasan or Neal can clear protocal and return to the field in time to face the Gators.

It's not a position a team on it's last leg of bowl hopes needs, but it's where this team and coaching staff find themselves this week.
