Another college hoops season is under way, and yet another hyped Kentucky freshmen squad is trying to find its footing. But unlike past seasons, John Calipari faces his biggest challenge as his Wildcats are looking to make waves without a clear-cut future NBA star on its roster. Since Calipari took over Kentucky in the 2009-10 season, he has produced at least one NBA lottery pick each year. However, this year’s team has to improve to keep the trend going. SI’s Amy Campbell says Kentucky has a strong defense and plenty of time to turn things around, but it’s going to take a team effort to do it.
