With all the coaching changes happening across college football, perhaps the most shocking one happened at the University of Washington. Chris Petersen announced he’s resigning after six seasons in Seattle. He will coach the Huskies’ bowl game and Defensive Coordinator Jimmy Lake will be taking over. Petersen took over a Washington program that hadn’t won a conference championship since 2000 and won it twice in 2016 and 2018. He also led the Huskies to the College Football Playoff in 2016. Petersen is the only coach in program history to record three-consecutive double-digit win seasons, finishing with a record of 54-26.
