The end of the Kansas vs. Kansas State game got real ugly real fast. Kansas was up by 22 and trying to run out the clock when a KSU’s DaJuan Gordon stole the ball and attempted to score. Kansas forward Silvio De Sousa, who had the ball stolen from him, proceeded to block the attempt at the buzzer expired. That’s when things got hectic and a brawl broke out. SI’s Robin Lundberg agrees that the situation should cause for repercussions, but if the NCAA is so insistent on enforcing the narrative that their student athletes are amateurs, the reaction shouldn’t be to destroy the character of young men.
