The announcement also comes with the news they placed an immediate ban on any in-person recruitment meetings for coaches. The recruiting dead period will be upheld through at least April 15th.

There was an outpouring of criticism from coaches, athletic directors and players, especially those in their senior year who would no longer be able to compete in their final college season.
