Rick Pitino is returning to college basketball, according to CBS Sports. Iona has hired Pitino as its new coach—he was considered the "leading candidate" for the job when coach Tim Cluess stepped down due to health issues. Currently coaching Athens, Greece-based Panathinaikos B.C., Pitino will finish out the Euroleague season—now suspended over coronavirus—if it resumes. Before leaving for Greece, Pitino won NCAA titles at Kentucky and Louisville, reaching 7 Final Fours and claiming Big East, SEC, and ACC conference titles.
