The nation's top high school prospect Emoni Bates announced he has verbally committed to play at Michigan State. Bates just finished his sophomore year in high school, but the young star has been on the radar of basketball fans for a while-- he was on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 2015, and has been called the best prospect since LeBron James. In his announcement, Bates said "I'm not sure what the future may hold, but I do know right now I will be committing to Michigan State," referencing the fact that he could choose to forego college if the NBA changes it's one-and-done rule.
