Nebraska has named Adrian Martinez as their starting quarterback for this week's matchup vs Number 5 Ohio State. The Cornhuskers coach Scott Frost announced on Monday that the junior quarterback will take his first snaps after competing with redshirt freshman Luke McCaffrey in the preseason.

Although McCaffrey didn’t get the starting position, Fost praised him on Monday, saying Nebraska feels like it has "two first-string quarterbacks" entering the season. It all came down to the yards and Martinez's experience. The junior had 21 career starts and 5,817 yards of total offense and that made all the difference in this decision. Nebraska will take on Ohio State on Saturday
