When I talk to Hunter Bryant, there is an unmistakable feeling that I get. It’s the intensity in the way he speaks. It’s the look in his eyes. It’s just different.. There are some people who play football for the cheers. The accolades. The notoriety. Then there are some who play simply because they love the game.

Hunter Bryant falls in the latter category.

Hunter Bryant loves to play football. And it shows. He is the latest in a long line of great Husky TE’s and he is etching his name among some of the best in the program’s history. So far in 2019, he has proven to be one of Jacob Eason’s favorite targets. The 6’2 240 lb Junior has hauled in 23 passes for 334 yards 5 games into the season. His biggest outing of the year came when the Dawgs defeated Hawaii 52-20 in Husky Stadium. Bryant was a beast, snagging 5 passes for 115 yards and 1 touchdown.

This week the Huskies head down to Palo Alto to take on the Stanford Cardinal. Hunter spoke to us about how he has improved this season, his role on this Husky squad, and the upcoming opponents that he and the Dawgs will face Saturday night in Stanford Stadium. Watch the interview below.
