Youngest Robinson Will Use Colorado to Show People He Can Play

Nahmier Robinson, son of Nate and grandson of Jacque, undoubtedly has a Rocky Mountain-sized chip on his shoulder as a prospective college football player.
Even with his intense athletic bloodlines, he's practically had to twist arms to get recruiters everywhere to take him seriously as a cornerback, drawing preferred walk-on invitations from the University of Washington, Portland State and Colorado State.
That said, this young Robinson announced earlier this week he will join Deion Sanders' nearly totally revamped Buffaloes roster, presumably as a non-scholarship player, according to the recruiting websites, to show everyone he deserves better.
Both of his upper-generation family members — Nate as a starting freshman cornerback, Jacque as a Rose Bowl and Orange Bowl MVP running back, both for the Huskies — played the college game with plenty of swagger, as did the irrepressible Sanders in the NFL.
At 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, Nahmier Robinson showed considerable playmaking ability at his two high school stops, if not the propensity to take over a game.
After transferring from inner-city Rainier Beach High School to suburban Skyline High for his senior year, Nahmier Robinson made a sensational debut by intercepting three passes and returning one of them 100 yards for a touchdown against Wenatchee.
Robinson finished the season with 11 TDs scored, 8 interceptions and 31 tackles. He scored by rushing, receiving, intercepting and punt returning for an 8-3 Spartans team.
At Colorado, he'll answer to an attention-getting first-year coach in Sanders, who was one of the NFL's all-time greats at cornerback, which should be a boon to Robinson's college football pursuits.
