2022 Guard Commits to West Virginia

West Virginia receives commitment for 2022 guard out of Teays Valley Christian School

On Monday, the West Virginia University men's basketball program received a verbal commitment from 2022 guard Josiah Davis out of Teays Valley Christian located in Teays Valley, West Virginia. 

Davis announced his decision on Metro News' Citynet Statewide Sportsline. 

"The last couple of weeks, I've been talking to my parents and my coaches, and a lot of my mentors, and we sat down and had a serious conversation, and we just went through the checkbox and checked off all the decisions on where I fit right and fit best, and we came to the decision that I will be attending West Virginia University," Davis told Sportsline.

During his sophomore season, the 6'3" guard averaged 13.0 points per game and helped guide Teays Valley Christian to a 19-9 overall record against other prep programs from around the country.
