Elijah Battle signs as undrafted free agent

The 2018 NFL Draft is in the books, but many Mountaineers are still awaiting a call from an organization. Former cornerback Elijah Battle was the first to sign a deal as an undrafted free agent and will be heading to the Arizona Cardinals.

Battle spent two seasons with West Virginia where he totaled 73 tackles in 19 games. Battle may appear to be a long shot to make the opening day roster, but never count out a former junior college player. Junior college recruits tend to carry an extra chip on their shoulder.
