Evan Staley Named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week

Morgantown, WV - West Virginia kicker Evan Staley was named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week after the Mountaineers won their Big 12 opener over Kansas 29-24.

Staley went 3-4 on the day hitting from 22, 37 and a season-long 44-yards. His only miss was 42 yards out and was against the wind that WVU head coach Neal Brown cited to what he believed to be a factor.

The Mountaineers are currently in a bye week and return to Action October 5th during homecoming weekend to take on the Texas Longhorns with kickoff set at 3:30
