WVU offers Versatile Running Back out of Georgia

If there’s talent in the state of Georgia, cornerbacks coach Doug Belk will find it. West Virginia recently offered 2019 recruit Jamious Griffin, running back from Rome, Georgia. It is still early in his recruiting, but schools are starting to take notice of Griffin. South Carolina, Ole Miss, Wake Forest and North Carolina State have also reached out and offered the talented running back; he hold approximately 16 offers total.

The 5’10” 202-lb running back, molds his game after Adrian Peterson and Ezekial Elliot and you can see it in the way he plays his game too. Griffin is a down-hill runner, everything is forward, but does have the feet to make defenders miss. He hits the hole so fast, it takes one cut, then he’s off to the races.

Jamious also catches the ball out of the back field and lines up in the slot.

Griffina isn’t too familiar with the West Virginia program or the offense, “Don’t know much now, but will be doing my research on them, just like I do the others that have offered”. He may not know it yet but he is in a similar offense the Mountaineers run yet. When watching his film, you can see why the Mountaineers extended the offer, his versatility jumps out at you.

They hype might be starting to surround the versatile back but he looks to improve his game every day, “Every day I have to improve on my all-around game. Can’t become the greatest if you’re not constantly getting better and improve almost every day”.
