Former West Virginia quarterback Will Grier is set to make his second career start today as the Panthers host the New Orleans Saints in the 2019 season finale.

1:02 pm Panthers win the toss and choose to defer 

1:07 pm The Saints go right down the field and score with ease on the first drive of the game, reaching the end zone on 8 plays going 75 yards in 4:12 (NO 7-0)

1:35 pm New Orleans tacks onto their lead late in the first quarter off of a touchdown run from Alvin Kamara. Scoring drive consisted of 11 plays going 81 years in 6:21 (NO 14-0)

1:43 pm After one quarter of play, Grier is 1/5 for 4 yards and has been Getty pumbled from the Saints' pressure. The Carolina offensive line struggling in protection early on 

 1:51 pm Carolina gets in Saints' territory for the first time on the day due to a pass interference call, but drive ends in a fumble by McCaffrey 

1:57 pm Saints linebacker A.J. Klein intercepts Grier's pass at Carolina's 14-yard line, running the ball into the end zone to extend their lead once again.  (NO 21-0) 

2:02 pm Grier is once again sacked due to the poor performance of Carolina's offensive line. Grier limps off the field and is taken to locker room to be assessed for potential injury

2:10 pm New Orleans extends their lead to 4 touchdowns on a drive enabled by Carolina penalties in 9 plays going 65 yards in 4:29

2:12 pm Grier announced to have a foot injury and is not likely to return
