Badgers Extend Winning Streak Against Lions

Yesterday the Wisconsin Badgers kicked off their season with a fantastic 6-0 victory over the Lindenwood Lions. Considering their track record against the Lions since 2012, the win seemed almost inevitable.

Seasoned Talent Shines

In a game that would have made any coach proud, the Badgers demonstrated what it means to completely dominate an opponent. Remarkably, they managed 65 shot attempts compared to Lindenwood's 5.

While it was a day of firsts for four freshmen and one transfer who made their Badgers debut, it was the veterans who stole the show. Laila Edwards, Sarah Wozniewicz, Kirsten Simms, Casey O'Brien, and Lacey Eden — all returning players — were the ones to find the net, collectively scoring all six goals for Wisconsin.

Looking Ahead: Maintaining the Momentum

As the season unfolds, one of the key challenges for the Badgers will be to maintain this level of dominance, especially as they face tougher opponents. The Badgers and the Lions will face off again today at 3 p.m. CT.
