Game Day Notebook: Utah State Has That Winning Touch against Cowboys

•The Cowboys and Aggies met for the 70th time on Saturday.

•The Cowboys are now 26-40-4 all-time against the Aggies.

•Wyoming and Aggies met for the seventh time for Bridger’s Rifle.

•Wyoming is 2-5 against the Aggies in the Bridger’s rifle portion of the series.

•The Cowboys are now 11-27-1 against Utah State in Logan.

•In the four losses on the road this season, Wyoming has lost by a combined 14 points.


•Senior tight end Josh Harshman grabbed six passes tying a career high for a career-high 76 yards.

•The Cowboys welcomed back offensive lineman Zach Watts, as he appeared in his first game of the season.  He played in four games last season. 

•Sophomore running back Zazavian Valladay rushed for 114 yards. It marked the fourth straight contest that Valladay has rushed for over 100 yards. 

•Sophomore quarterback Tyler Vander Waal completethe fourthd 20-of-26 passes for 185 yards.

•Vander Waal recorded a rushing touchdown in the second quarter and fourth quarter. It was the second/ third of the season and now has five in his career. 


•The Cowboys recorded a takeway on the the Aggies opening posession. Junior defensive tackle Javaree

Jackson tip tthe ball and grabbed it for his first career interception and ninth of the season for the Pokes.

•The Cowboys now have seven interceptions by defnesive lineman since the 2016 season.

•Senior Logan Wilson recorded his ninth career interception and scored his fourth career touchdown off of

irnterception in the second quarter. He is now tied for the active lead in defensive touchdowns in the NCAA

with four.

•Wilson recorded eight tackles and passed San Diego State’s Kirk Morrison for fifth all-time in career tackles

at Wyoming, as Wilson now has 395 in his career.

•Wilson has nine interceptions in his career to rank tied for fifth in school history.

•Sophomore Keyon Blankenbaker added eight tackles. He had nine against New Mexico earlier this season.


•Senior kicker Cooper Rothe now has 322 points in his career to rank second behind Sean Fleming at 324

career points at Wyoming.

•Senior cornerback and kick returner Tyler Hall resumed his kick return duties. He had a 38 yard return in the  first half.
