Where Are the Cowboys Going Bowling? The Guess is . . .

Tracy Ringolsby

Wyoming earned bowl eligibility when it won it's sixth game on Saturday against Nevada. Now the question in which bowl. If they were to win the Mountain West Conference title it would be the Vegas Bowl, which will be played on Dec. 21 with a 5:30 p.m., kickoff on ESPN.

If not, the Cowboys are in line for another bowl this year, after being one of four bowl eligible teams to be left out of the post-season a year ago. They are 6-2 with four games remaining -- at Boise State Nov. 9, at Utah State Nov. 16, home against Colorado States Nov. 22, and at Air Force Nov. 30.

The Cowboys are on every expert's bowl list, although which bowl is debatable. Three of the 10 forecasters surveyed this week have Wyoming at the New Mexico Bowl Dec. 21.

Both 247 Sports and CBS Sports not only have the Cowboys going to the Cheez-It Bowl, but they also both project Iowa State as the opponent.
