What is Breaking Point?

Breaking Point is a story mode that first featured in F1 21, and follows the story of young drivers Aiden Jackson and Devon Butler as they challenge each other at the top of Formula 1. Breaking Point did not feature in F1 22, but returns for F1 23 with many improvements.

“The return of Braking Point allows players to immerse themselves in a racing story, which provides a unique look at F1 alongside the authentic race features our players know and love,” said Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters. “Our close relationship with the teams has allowed us to refine our handling model, adding greater realism to pad-play, and implementing a new colour encoding system used in film and TV creates a more true-to-life experience.”

This year, the two drivers are now teammates on Konnersport Racing Team as they look to help each other to the top of F1.

F1 23 Handling Improvements

F1 23’s handling has been upgraded from F1 22, new vehicle physics gives the cars better traction when braking, accelerating, and cornering. These improvements come from F1 23 incorporating actual F1 team feedback. New Precision Drive™ controller technology will also give pad players better control and confidence in those crucial race moments.
