The TV schedulers are testing your commitment tonight. (All times Eastern)

Starter

TV 2013 ESPY's, 9:00p.m. (ESPN)

The ESPN schedule makers knew exactly what they were doing when they picked the time for their annual navel-gaze-o-rama. Baseball is off. The soccer's taking break. There is nothing else for the sporting public to watch but John Hamm's remarkable handsomeness on this unremarkable awards show.

Reserves

Cycling  Tour De France: Stage 17, 8:00a.m. (NBC Sports Network & NBC Sports Live Extra)

There is essentially no information to be had about the bare-footed, stuffed-pig-carrying, duck's-head-wielding shirtless man chasing racers during stage 15 of the race. It's better that way. Methinks there be bodies down that rabbit hole.

NBA Summer League Playoffs First Round, 6:30p.m. (ESPN3)

Did you know that the summer league has playoffs? Neither did I. If the NBA Playoffs are where amazing happens, this is where mildly interesting happens.

Soccer UEFA Women's Euro Group Stage: Germany vs. Norway & Netherlands vs. Iceland, 11:45p.m. (ESPN3)

Iceland's goalie Gudbjörg Gunnarsdóttir was praised for her amazing performance between the posts against Germany, a game her team lost 3-0. She needs to produce a clean sheet today for her team to have a chance to advance to the knockout stage.

TV The Challenge: Rivals II, 10:00p.m. (MTV)

The incredibly slim slate tonight means I'll have to continue to treat this sideshow as a real sport. For the uninitiated, C.T. (the first guy in the clip) is both the Lebron James and Ron Artest of The Challenge.

Deep Bench

TV World's Strongest Man Archives, 7:00p.m. (CBS Sports Network)
