Someone in London Thought a Bear Grylls Stunt Was Real, Called Fire Department

Thursday September 26th, 2013

Legendary fake predicament survivor Bear Grylls was back to his old tricks last night, when he was filming a promo for his upcoming Discovery series, Escape from Hell. The shoot required Grylls to scale down the landmark Battersea Power Station building in London, which appeared to be ablaze.

"The flames were evidently so lifelike that a witness put in an emergency call summoning the London fire brigade," Deadline reports. "Once on the scene, firefighters said they 'quickly realized it wasn’t an incident for us.'"

Crisis averted.
