Fan Nails Full-Court Putt to Win Car at Auburn Basketball Game

Sunday February 16th, 2014

Talk about a stroke of luck - literally.

On Saturday night during the Mississippi State-Auburn basketball game, Patrick Burch stepped to the baseline with putter in hand. Across the court (95 feet away) sat a hole hardly bigger than a golf ball itself.

The challenge? Sink the putt and win a $15,000 car (or you could put the money towards a more expensive car). Of course, nailing a 95-foot putt is almost impossible in the best of conditions. But to do it on a basketball court? And to put it through what is conceivably a mouse hole? That car dealer had nothing to worry about in regards to shelling out the $15K. Or so he thought.
