The Derek Jeter Retirement Tour made its first stop in Houston, where former teammates Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte and Mike Stanton presented the Yankees captain with pinstriped cowboy boots, a Stetson hat and a set of golf clubs. Personally, I'd rather have the collage the Astros gave Mariano Rivera last September, but pinstriped cowboy boots are pretty amazing.
Astros Win 63 Games = Free Furniture
Gallery Furniture in Houston is offering a full refund to customers if the team loses fewer than 100 games. According to the company's website, the first 500 customers who purchase $6,300 worth of furniture or more and have it delivered within one week will be eligible for the promotion. In a related story, the Astros are off to a 2-0 start after defeating the Yankees last night, 3-1.

In 1994, Michael Jordan joined the Double A Birmingham Barons and purchased a new team bus for $350,000 so the team could travel in style. Two decades later, that primo, luxury bus is on eBay with a $19,388 opening bid. According to this 1994 Reading Eagle story, the bus comes equipped with 35 reclining seats, six TVs, a VCR and a lounge in the rear.
