MLS Defender Throws Elbow Then Flops in One Depressing Sequence
During Sunday's MLS game between the San Jose Earthquakes and the Columbus Crew, Crew defender Giancarlo Gonzalez threw a stiff forearm into the back of San Jose's Chris Wondolowski, knocking him to the ground.
When Wondolowski gave Gonzalez a mostly harmless retaliatory push, he violently flopped to the ground.
Neither player received a penalty, but Gonzalez doesn't come out looking to good, having disrespected the laws of both physics and decency so blatantly at the same time.
