If you want to attempt a volley during a soccer match, it's generally best to do it from about 25 yards in. You're just asking for trouble (and a presumable turnover) if you decide to bust out one from, say, midfield. Unless, of course, you're Fabian Kwok of Geyland International (Singapore League).
In a match this week against Albirex Niigata, Geyland International's Kwok unleashed a volley from halfway across the field, which managed to find its way into the back of the net. This is one of the most beautiful goals we've seen this year.
