The beer was first spotted on Sept. 14 during the team's home opener.

Dan Steinberg of The Washington Postfirst noticed the expired beer, and ran the code through the "Track Your Bud" website, where he found the beer has "passed its freshness date." The site also said that Budweiser "would like to buy you a fresh Budweiser. Please contact us."

Looks like Budweiser will be sending out quite a few new beers.
