College student wins free truck with buzzer beating half-court shot

Wednesday November 5th, 2014

Drake University student Alex Tillinghast earned himself a brand new Ford F-150 truck after nailing what might end up as the most thrilling shot of the college basketball season.

The school held its annual "Bulldog Madness" event and offered one student an opportunity to win the car if they could hit a layup, free throw, three-pointer and half-court shot all within 30 seconds, and Tillinghast proved he was up to the challenge, but just barely.

Tillinghast missed his first two layups, but he recovered, nailing his first free throw and making a three pointer with enough time to launch a successful mid-court heave.

Hopefully the freshman's new ride comes with #TechnologyAndStuff.
