Michael Cuddyer signing with the Mets means he can't hang out with elks

Every baseball fan knows Michael Cuddyer is really good hitter, but fewer are probably aware that he's also an amateur photographer.

During a stint on the disabled list in early September, he posted a bunch of photos of elks on Twitter and Instagram. He was playing for Colorado, just a short drive from the mountains the team is named for, making it easy to connect with nature.

But Cuddyer just signed with the Mets. There are no elk in Queens.

Now, this isn't to say Cuddyer won't be able to continue practicing photography. As the Denver Postnoted in 2012, Cuddyer likes to get to the ballpark early on road trips and take pictures. He posts the best ones on his Flickr page, and they're really cool.
