A worker at a Lincoln, Neb., high school is facing a $262.50 fine for failing to follow the proper channels when allowing Bo Pelini to meet with the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team one final time in a school gym.

A worker at a Lincoln, Neb., high school is facing a $262.50 fine for failing to follow the proper channels when allowing Bo Pelini to meet with the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team one final time in a school gym, according to the Lincoln Journal Star.

News of Pelini's firing came out on Sunday and on Tuesday night the ex-coach and his players met in the Lincoln North Star High gym to say goodbye.

Pelini and the players were granted access by someone who works at the school who is acquainted with the coach, but the staffer failed to use the school's reservation system, and has been asked to pay the costs that would be associated with renting the gymnasium.

A fundraising campaign to cover the fine was started on Wednesday and raised nearly double the cost of the fine in just 17 hours.
