J.J. Watt: 'I have no idea what they’re saying in the huddle on offense'

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has shown this season that he's pretty skilled on the offensive side of the ball as well, catching three touchdowns. What makes this feat even more impressive for Watt is the fact that, apparently, he has absolutely no idea what's going on when he's out there with the offense.

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has shown this season that he's pretty skilled on the offensive side of the ball as well, catching three touchdowns. What makes this feat even more impressive for Watt is the fact that, apparently, he has absolutely no idea what's going on when he's out there with the offense, ESPN's Tania Ganguli reports.

"I have no idea what they’re saying in the huddle on offense," Watt said. "I swear to God. I have no clue what the play calls are or anything. I know my little gambit of plays. I know what I’m supposed to do on those."

• J.J. Watt was mic'd up for Sunday's game, and it was glorious

It might seem crazy to assume that he's telling the truth, especially given how well he's performed when lined up at tight end.

However, there is video proof that Watt does indeed seem unsure of what to do as he asks quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to give him instructions after they break the huddle.

So, if he's this good when he doesn't know what in the world he's doing, how much better can he be if someone actually sits down with him next year and teaches him a few tricks? Scary thought.
