Alex Ovechkin may be a machine during NHL games but the rest of the time it appears he may be one of the nicest people in the world. When he isn't playing with puppies, or taking young admirers out to dinner, he is setting up eight-year-old girls with perfect assists.

Third grader says he loves Brian Hoyer 'even if he is bad'

Lauren Santora has been attending Capitals game since she was two and got a chance to hit the ice with the team on Friday. She and Ovechkin combined for a perfect breakaway with Santora making goalie Braden Holtby look like an amateur with her strong finish.

Santora, who has been hospitalized repeatedly due to complications from type 1 diabetes, will also be watching the Caps play on Saturday and will even get to take a ride on the Zamboni.
