Monday's A.M. Hot Clicks: Marshawn Lynch Goes Beast Mode Again

Hey everyone, Pete Blackburn back with you today to help cure your case of the Mondays with the latest in Internet fire. Andy will be back tomorrow but you can still find me on Twitter (@PeteBlackburn) talking about hockey and New Girl.

'Bout That Action

Marshawn Lynch was on the bench with an "upset stomach" to start Sunday night's game against the Arizona Cardinals, which I'm sure made some fantasy owners go absolutely nuts, but Lynch wound up being able to shake the malady and a whole lot of poor Cards defenders en route to a big-time performance. The Seahawks running back had the highlight of the weekend (and maybe the entire season) when he went full "Beast Mode" and capped off another absolutely ridiculous touchdown (the longest of his career) with his crotch-grab celebration. That run, which had an awesome hometown radio call, prompted some great reactions from celebrities and fellow athletes on social media. Oh, and his postgame media session? Well, more on that later.

Elsewhere In The NFL

Arian Foster threw his first career touchdown pass, then trolled the Ravens with a scoreboard taunt... Daren Bates jumped over the entire line for an amazing block of a field-goal attempt... Three players were ejected for fighting during the Rams-Giants game... Dominic Raiola showed his true colors once again on one of the dirtiest plays of the year... Cam Newton called out Panthers fans who cheered Johnny Manziel's injury... Russell Wilson had the weekend's best stiff arm... The Steelers' William Gay got flagged for taunting his own teammate... Josh Brown kicked a Rams player in the face... Jimmy Clausen took a brutal helmet-to-helmet hit and got very mad about it... The Colts almost pulled off a fake punt but it was horribly dropped... A soldier surprised his family at the Giants-Rams game.

Yankees Come To Bat For Fallen NYPD Officer's Family

George Steinbrenner's Yankee Silver Shield Foundation will pay for the education of the children of Rafael Ramos, one of the NYPD officers murdered this weekend.

Lovely Lady of the Day

English model and actress Lucy Pinder celebrated her 31st birthday over the weekend, so we're giving her a belated present and naming her LLOD to start off the week. (Click here for full-sized gallery)

Skip Bayless: Still A Hack

The First Take analyst tried to take credit for predicting that the Cowboys would win the NFC East this season, and Twitter called him on it. In the words of the great Jonah Hill... people don't forget.

Ronaldo Needs A Cold Shower

Cristiano Ronaldo's hometown erected a statue of the soccer star over the weekend, and it appears that the statue wasn't the only thing erect.

Speaking of Erections...

Thanks For Asking

Three words now? Baby steps for Marshawn Lynch!

Odds & Ends

A coach from South Alabama took a cleat to the face and had his face mangled... Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen, who looks like Cousin Eddie, wore a hilarious Christmas Vacation-themed sweater over the weekend... Anton Khudobin submitted an NHL 'Blooper of the Year' candidate when he hilariously failed to climb into his own bench... The Flames had a blunder of their own when they scored on themselves during a delayed penalty... Willie Mitchell used an opponent's helmet as a weapon during a fight... A Memphis Grizzlies intern got his car stolen, so the players pitched in to buy him a new one... Rajon Rondo had to explain to a reporter how trades work... Here's a handy viewing guide for NFL Draft prospects in upcoming college bowl games.

Feel-Good Story Of The Weekend

Big-time props to Menelik Watson of the Oakland Raiders for donating his game check to a little girl battling for her life. Awesome gesture.
