Jim Harbaugh rooting for Ohio State in national championship game
Is new Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh softening the Wolverines' stance on staunch rival Ohio State?
Harbaugh was on The Rich Eisen Show Thursday, during which the host, a Michigan alum, asked the coach who he would be rooting for in Monday's national championship game.
Eisen asks Harbaugh if he should root for B1G/Ohio State on Monday: "I'm going to be rooting for Ohio State," Harbaugh says— Nick Baumgardner (@nickbaumgardner) January 8, 2015
The Buckeyes and Wolverines have all these little ways of belittling each other. Ohio State calls Michigan "the school up north," while Michigan just calls OSU "Ohio," disregarding the fact there is also an Ohio University. But Harbaugh used the school's actual name! And he wants them to win!
Big Ten pride is a powerful thing.
