Katy Perry: 'Nothing in my performance will be deflated'

Katy Perry promises a rousing halftime show at Super Bowl XLIX.

Katy Perry has dedicated more of her life over the past few years to her music than to following the NFL and its stars, but once the pop superstar was given the chance to perform the halftime show of Super Bowl XLIX this year, she apparently renewed her focus on the league.

Perry has become known for her live performances, and when asked about what she had planned for halftime on Sunday, she promised that her show would have what recent New England games have allegedly lacked.

How NFL convinced Michael Jackson to perform Super Bowl halftime show

Even though she had to do some quick research on J.J. Watt when she found out they would appear together on the cover of ESPN the Magazine, Perry is acquainted with the Seahawks team poised to try to win its second consecutive Super Bowl.

She also channeled Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch.

Perry also took the chance to hint about the surprises the halftime show itself would offer.

If Perry's boasts are to be believed, then this year's halftime show might just be more memorable than the game itself. That would be quite a feat, but it wouldn't be the first time.
