Despite being a 28 percent career three-point shooter, Josh Smith loves to chuck it from long range (even if it contributed to his demise in Detroit).
Smith's Rockets were in Atlanta on Tuesday, where Hawks fans, having watched Smith hoist threes for nine years, are used to hearing his shots rattle off the rim.
But in the third quarter, Smith benefited from a fortuitous bounce, sunk a three from the corner, and told the Atlanta faithful to simmer down. Of course, that just made them boo louder.
The Hawks won, though, 104-06, and Smith connected on just two of his six three-point attempts.
