Vin Scully gives thanks for sunlight during Cubs vs. Dodgers game

Monday August 31st, 2015

The sun may be 92,960,000 miles from Earth, but it’s close to Vin Scully’s heart.

During Saturday night’s Dodgers-Cubs broadcast, Vin Scully took a moment between pitches to thank the sun for all its hard work.

When was the last time you thanked the sun for all it’s done for you? Did you send the sun a Christmas card?

Do not worry, Mr. Sun, Vin Scully recognizes all the warmth you have given us on Earth for the past several million years, even if the majority of us do not.

Believe it or not, Vin Scully actually called the sun's major league debut 4.6 billion years ago.
