Trevor Noah made his debut as the host of The Daily Show on Monday night and while the show had a slightly different feel, it did keep one important piece from the Jon Stewart era: Mets jokes.

Noah’s jab at Stewart’s beloved team comes at the 5:50 mark of the new host’s opening segment, with the South African comedian admitting he does not know what the Mets are.

The new host also took time out to explain to viewers that while Stewart served as their political dad, Noah would be their new step-father, before breaking into a segment on the Pope’s visit to America, and Rep. John Boehner’s retirement from congress.
