Marlins-Phillies game delayed when dead bird falls onto field

The final game of the season for Phillies featured an unlikely delay when a dead hawk fell from the sky and into foul territory.

Philadelphia hosted the Marlins on Sunday and both teams saw a brief break in the bottom of the fourth inning when players and spectators alike noticed something fall from the sky and into left field, according to The Associated Press.

Umpires stopped play for around a minute and a security guard removed the recently departed bird, which Citizens Bank Park officials say died after being attacked by another bird in mid-flight.
