San Diego residents wake up to 600 Chris Denorfia bobbleheads
On July 31, 2014, Chris Denorfia was traded from the Padres to the Mariners after four and a half years in San Diego, and while the veteran outfielder is gone, he is still making an impact in Southern California in a very odd way.
Some residents of San Diego’s University City neighborhood got a surprise recently when they heard a crash outside and upon investigating further, found roughly 600 Denorfia bobbleheads had been deposited in front of their home, according to NBC-7 San Diego.
The roommates, who were not familiar with the work of the lifetime .272 hitter, have begun handing the unwanted giveaways out to friends and co-workers, and even gave several away to the news crew that came to investigate the peculiar story.
