Michael Phelps: Distraction King
In November, SI's Tim Layden wrote a lengthy cover story on Michael Phelpsas he prepares for the 2016 Olympics in Rio. In my mind, however, his gold-medal performance occurred Thursday night when he attended an Arizona State basketball game and joined the student section's "Curtain of Distraction" for opposing free throw shooters. He may not have given birth as other students have done, but he helped the Sun Devils beat Oregon State.
