Former NBA All-Star Steve Francis needs your help. He has a boat, but it’s on dry land. He needs to put it in the water. Do you know anyone in southwestern Florida who can move it for him?

It turns out it isn’t that hard to find a boat mover in the Greater Sarasota region. A quick Google search turned up a few options, so we called Ralph at Cima Boat Transportation of Punta Gorda.

Taking a boat from Sarasota to “the Harbor,” isn’t that big a deal at all. The harbor is actually in Sarasota, Ralph said, so it would cost about $450 to take Francis’s boat down to MarineMax, a boating shop on the Sarasota Bay. The guys at MarineMax would charge another $200 to $250 to put the boat in the water.
