Baseball team adopts adorable puppy found abandoned at stadium
Not only do they have the best name in baseball, but also they now have the cutest employee.
The Savannah Bananas of the Coastal Plain League, a collegiate wood-bat circuit, announced that it has hired a seven-week-old puppy named Daisy to be its new bat dog.
Daisy was found abandoned in the parking lot of the Bananas’ stadium and adopted by the team’s president, Jared Orton.

“We aren’t sure how big she’ll get, so it’s hard to say if she’ll be able to pick up a bat or just coach first base,” Orton said, “but as she grows, she’ll be a fixture at the ballpark.”
Plenty of minor league teams employ bat dogs, most notably the Trenton Thunder. But it’s tough to say whether any of them are cuter than Daisy.
