If you look at the back of your ticket for a baseball game chances are there is a warning that you should watch out for balls batted into the stands, and that applies to stadium workers to, as a funnel cake stand came under attack from a George Springer foul ball in the first inning of the Astros game last night.

Sideline reporter Julia Morales tracked down the ball in the third inning and told ROOT Sports that the ball was still warm after finding its dangerous landing place in vat of hot oil.

The stand was shut down after the incident, which means Springer deprived the left field upper deck of Minute Maid Park of delicious fried dough for the entirety of Houston’s 13-inning win over the Orioles.
